Cindy Rinfret, principal designer of Rinfret, Ltd., has been creating iconic Interior Design while defining true "Classic Greenwich Style" for over twenty years. Best known for her luxurious yet comfortable design aesthetic, as illustrated in her two books; "Classic Greenwich Style" (Rizzoli 2006) and "Greenwich Style: Inspired Family Homes" (Rizzoli 2013), Cindy is the "go to" designer in Fairfield and Westchester counties with high-profile clients that include Tommy Hilfiger and Regis Philbin. Cindy's career began in Manhattan in 1981 after a prestigious education at the Rhode Island School of Design and the University of Copenhagen School of Architecture in Denmark. After ten years working in the New York design world, Cindy and her family moved to Greenwich, Connecticut where she set up a design business and retail shop. Since then, Cindy's design firm, Rinfret, Ltd., has grown to a staff of twelve who excel at providing attentive, detailed service to the firm's clients. Even with her impressive team of experienced design assistants, Cindy still designs individually for each and every one of her clients.
In addition to her interior design business, Cindy's retail shop has grown into a 4,000 square foot space located on fashionable Greenwich Avenue. Rinfret Home & Garden is filled with an eclectic mix of English, modern and transitional accessories and furniture pieces. The Rinfret Home & Garden staff embrace this philosophy of functional luxury and offer attentive service and guidance to the most discerning customers.
Visitors to the store may also happen upon Cindy herself as she walks through the shop to choose furnishings and accessories for her Rinfret, Ltd. design clients.
Rinfret, Ltd. is renowned for creating comfortable interiors which are inviting to families, homeowners and guests. These spaces reflect a standard of beauty and luxury that demonstrate a life well lived in homes with furnishings that are meant to be lived in. No matter how many years may pass, a Rinfret interior will always be comfortable, lasting and appropriate. Cindy achieves this timeless style by blending antiques with transitional pieces for a look that is inviting to the eye and to a family's lifestyle. Her work is illustrated in two books, "Classic Greenwich Style" (Rizzoli 2006) and "Greenwich Style: Inspired Family Homes" (Rizzoli 2013) as well as on the covers of numerous magazines including Fairfield County Home, Suburban Classic, Traditional Home, The New York Times, Western Interiors, House Beautiful, Decor, Luxe, articles in Town & Country and many more.
Cindy often describes her design philosophy like this: “Your home should be like your favorite outfit - comfortable, yet luxurious, like the perfect cashmere sweater with your most comfortable and understated, yet elegant, jeans.” ~Cindy Rinfret
